Meet our Director: Kay Mondon
Hello, My name is Kay and I have 38 years’ experience with teaching, early years, consultancy (Gowrie) and studying.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Early years education after completing my honours’ year with my Bachelor.
I have managed many services over the years and have also managed Tertiary education (Early Years) for quite a few years. I have a passion for co-education alongside each child’s families, community and the environment, all seen as teachers. My other passion is to mentor educators to want to make a difference with children and the community and to do so confidently.
I have visited Reggio Emilia in Italy over 14 years ago and came away with so many wonderful revelations about how we can walk side by side with the child and also to see them as competent learners already. Offering provocations and resources to enquire about how and why.
My research has covered brain development and plasticity and believe in building resilience in all who are around me. A resilient child who has great mentors around them grows up to be thoughtful, a problem solver and a strong and decisive individual in the world. They will value being a positive contributor to society.
